Design

In terms of design, Elgato WAVE XLR is a USB audio interface with a smooth, compact design. On the front, there are buttons for controlling the volume and switching functions, with LED lights indicating the status of various functions. On the back, there is an XLR port for connecting to a microphone, an AUX 3.5 port for connecting headphones, and a USB-C port for connecting to a computer. You can connect with the USB-C to USB-A cable included in the box.

Usage

In terms of usage, Elgato WAVE XLR connects to a computer by plugging a USB cable into the computer or notebook that you want to use quickly and supports connecting to a microphone via the XLR jack on the back of the device immediately without having to connect any additional amps.

Elgato WAVE XLR features the brand's proprietary Clipguard technology to prevent distortion from the microphone. It also has a signal amplification function that can amplify the signal up to 75 decibels, allowing it to be used with less sensitive microphones to be heard clearly. And it can supply up to 48 volts of power, making it suitable for condenser microphones as well.
